Welcome to my world....

Got back from Melbourne on Wednesday night and had the best time.  Wednesday mum and i were in transit for 14hours straight... not something I recommend to anyone coz its sooooooooo tiring - especially with a 4 hour drive home from Perth at the end which I did by myself coz mum was too tired to drive!

 

I wont go through all the blah of what went on so I'll just give you all a summary - had my Great Grandma's 100th Birthday on wednesday and another party for her on the Sunday. Both fantastic days adn Narn is still doing really really well!  Did LOTS of shopping and now I'm paying for it because I need to re-stock my bank account so I'm working as much as possible.  Caught up with all my cousins, uncles and aunties on Mum's side of the family and have one of my aunties trying to convince me to become a nurse (never mind the fact that I cant stand the sight of needles on a bench let alone putting on in someone!!) so she is going to do all this research on it for my and send it to me via email... me becomming a nurse - not going to happen!!!

 

They're all trying to get me to move back next year too - a very tempting idea i must say but we'll just have to see.

 

Had my first day back at work yesterday and walked into absoloute chaos. We were operating on skeleton staff already and within the next month we are going to be loosing at least 8 staff.... I don't think the hotel will make it to Feb and neither do most staff here. A few people contributed to making my ego even bigger by informing me they missed me heaps while i was gone - each one for different reasons but all nice ones so I'm feeling pretty loved at the moment hahaha

 

Anyway, I should be doing some work so I'll leave it there.

Why am I getting old??  Coz I"m knackered and soooooooooooooooooooooo ready for bed and I haven't even done much!

 

I took my puppy Kayla for a walk along the boardwalk with Megs and her puppy Buddy this arvo which was a 6km round trip up and down hills so excellent exercise! When we got back to the start, we went straight across the road to the 'nade where we both work for a drink and undid all the good work we'd just done walking hahhaha.  So at the moment I'm half tanked so if the typing sucks, sorry I'm trying really hard I promise!!!!  and that's why i'm so tired - coz I've stopped drinking :)

 

Got a phone call from a mate at 6am tis mornign that has me seriosuly confused but it's too hard to type it all so if you wanna know, you'll just have to ask me. so so so soooo confused now hey hmmmmm.... at least it wasnt' 4am when he usually calls!!

 

Was going to be going out for dinner with Megs tonight but we've both decided we're too tired hahaha  so we're going to do it tomorrow night.

 

Next weekend going to be a good one... we have the local footy grand final so going to that and catching up with nick too who is coming down specially... then on monday i'm driving up to perth with mum and we're flying to melbourne on tuesday for a week and a half!  Cant wait!

 

Anyway, I'm stopping now coz it's getting too hard to type - and prob too hard for all of you to read too hahaha

What a flat out weekend I just had!

 

Friday night the girls and i had the usual friday night drinks after work but this time had some company in the form of one of the boyfriends and his mates... made for something different  I then went out with Jen-i to watch her play ten-pin bowling (hahahahahaha!) because I'd consumed just a little too much to be co-ordinated enough to participate!  While we were there, at around 830pm we decided we were sick of Albany and the massive lack of things to do and realised we were seriously desperate to go out and go shopping.  The final decision?  We went to Perth!  Yep, 900am Saturday morning we were in the car driving to Perth!  I'd called Nick the night before at around 1030pm and asked him if we'd have a bed if we came up to Perth - of course, there was. So we went.

 

Got up there at 130pm and went shopping after dumping our stuff at nicks and saying hi (he couldn't believe we'd actually drivin up just for one night!) to Gav and 2 chicks that were there as well. 3 hours and waaaaaaaaaaay too much money later we were back at nicks unloading all our shopping. He'd gone to the footy with Gav so no one was there.

 

I called Corey (a mate i havent seen for 5 years) and told him I was kidnapping him and taking him out coz it was the first time we'd seen each other in that long.  He was stoked to hear from me, so Jen-i and I drove allllllll the way down to Armadale from Highgate and had a few drinks at Corey's place before driving allllll the way back to Nicks with him.

 

We got to Nicks, drank lots and lots of beer then walked into northbridge after getting changed and making the boys drool over the tops Jen-i and I had bought ourselves that afternoon (quite revealing I must say but oh so worth it!).  Nick and I were threatened by the Police to be charged if we didn't pour or beers out in two seconds (and the cop actually started counting before we'd even realised what was going on!), but we made it to Northbridge without being charged hahahaa.  Didn't really do much after that - mostly wakled around becasue Jen-i wasn't feeling very well so we were back at nicks by 230am.  I put Jen-i to bed and went back downstairs to drink more with Nick, Corey and Gav. Lots and lots of dodgy photos were taken on my phone that make me laugh everytime i look at them and we all eventually went to bed at about 4am but not get to sleep til about 6am.

 

930am came and it was time for me to get up and wake Jen-i up coz we had to be back in Albany no later then 4pm as I had to work.  Eventually got to work at 430pm and got thousands of sms's from Nick and Gav taunting me about having to work on a sunday arvo straight after driving back from perth!

 

Was a fantastic weekend and soooooo good catching up with Corey - I've promised him next time i'm up we'll go out again... can't wait!  Only bad thing was the lack of sleep coz I'm still trying to catch up on it now, but damn it was worth it!

 

I love spur of the moment decisions hahahaha

Well, most of you know already but for those who dont, I'll be out of a job end of Feb/mid March next year (1,2,3... awwwwwww!).  Yes, it's the end of an era... the famous Esplanade Hoel in Albany will close its doors for 15 months at the end of Feb 2007.  We haven't been given a concrete date yet, but that's what they're aiming for - they being the new owners of the hotel.  It's closing for re-development and they will be completely demolishing the place to the ground - the main hotel building, the apartments, the extravaganza, the botleshop and the function centre.  There'll be like 65-70 people loosing their jobs.

 

I'm most likely to come back up to Perth coz I'm going crazy down here... not sure where I'll go yet, like what suburb but it won't be far from the city if all goes to plan.  Then again I might go up to Padbury czo I know a mate has a house up there. Oh well, I've still got 6 months to think about it so no need to stress just yet!

 

I've got the very unfun job of sorting all the Asset Registers out for the entire hotel and it's an absoloute nightmare.  I have to sort throught all the Assets for 48 rooms, 7 offices, bottleshop, restaurant, bar, function centre, 3 sheds, 15 apartments, cocktail lounge, 2 laundrys, 3 kitchens and god knows what else I've forgotten about at the moment!  It's going to take me forever coz the registers are a complate mess.  Keep me busy for the next 6 months anyway!

 

Ok, I gotta go get ready coz goign out with one of my girlfriends tonight - we hitting the town!

I was just sitting here thinking about shit that has happened these alst few days and damn some guys are so messed up!  You give them a little bit of leway and tell them you care about them (friends or otherwise, doesn't really matter) and they think they own you!

 

Boys, I own me, no one else does and I'll do what I want... if you don't like what I do, find a way to deal with it coz I aint changin!!!

Well what a huge weekend I just had!

 

I drove up  to Perth with Dad on Friday after going to some boring ass launch that Dad had to go to. Dropped Dad off at his brothers house where he was staying and then went up to Nicks place.  He had his mate Gav there already when I got there and a little while later, Carter came around.  Didn't do much - just drank and watched the footy and got pretty drunk.

 

Saturday I went down to Rockingham and visited my mate Donna who lives across the road from my Ex-fiancee but thank god he didn't feel the need to come over and start shit... I don't even know if he was home or not and frankly I couldn't care less.  It was great catching up with Donna!  She looks absoloutly gorgeous now she's lost heaps of weight which is great for her :)

 

Took myself shopping after leaving Donnas and went back to Nicks after that and started drinking again.  MOre guys came aruond - Gav, Carter, Ben and some guy called Az and whatever time it was we all walked into Northbridge except for Gav who went home.  We drank copious amounts of alcohol and stumbled home at around 730am sunday morning.  Nick and I didn't get to sleep til about 9am and Dad called me at 1045am to see when I was going to pick him up from my brothers college so we could drive home.  When I actually got up, I felt like shit - not because of a hangover (god only knows how I managed to drink that much and not have a hangover the next morning!) - but because of lack of sleep.  Had a huge breakfast/lunch at Trinity College and then Dad and I left to drive back to Albany.  I was supposed to share the driving with him but I would have killed us if I did... way way way too tired to drive anywhere!

 

Overall, had a fantastic weekend - drank waaaaaaaaaaaay too much but hey, you're allowed to when its your birthday weekend and you have some guys to look after you!!!!!

 

No doubt I'll do it all over again when I'm in Perth next :)

drinks are on at the bar with the usual people and I'm getting free drinks woo hoo!  After drinks we're going out to tea with mum and dad as well at the new pub/restaurant - should be a great night!

 

Ok well i spose I should go and do some work - which means browsing the net looking for potential bands to play at our sunday sessions hehehe
